She’s Too Damn Cute

June 24, 2018 By Jodi

Last night, I started going through my photos, looking for something to share today.

I’ve had my laptop for almost five years, and during that time, I’ve taken over 10,000 photos. Yes, you read that right, TEN THOUSAND PHOTOS.

I used up the free iCloud account a couple of years ago, and then I switched to the first level of paid iCloud. I think it’s $2 or $3 per month. Apple notified me a month or so ago, that I was getting close to my limit. The next tier is $9.99 per month, and I’ll be darned if I’m willing to pay that, so I started going through my photos and deleting the blurry ones, the duplicate ones, the ones I took just for blog posts, etc.

So far, I’ve deleted about 500 photos.

I was going to do today’s post about those blooper photos. You know, the ones I was staging for a post that just didn’t turn out the way I expected.

Until I ran across these.

In these photos, she was participating in her favorite past-time, of watching Chipmunks.

Now, I know I’ve shared at least one of them in You Make Me posts, but when I looked at all five of these together, they were just so damn cute, I needed to share them. There is something about a dog carrying a toy in their mouth, that just makes me smile.

You make me smile, (or laugh.) The sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do, that puts a smile on my face or brings a laugh to my lips.

Chocolate Cheese Head

June 17, 2018 By Jodi

I raised three girls, so I’m use to cooking in larger amounts. After the girls left home, I couldn’t quite figure out how to reduce my cooking to just two, so I continue to cook for five and we use the leftovers for lunches during the week.

For health reasons, I’m encouraged to eat smaller portions, about six times per day. I practice this religiously during the week, but sadly, I can’t quite master it on the weekends.

Because of the way I eat, I bring a lot of food with me when I head to work. Of late, my afternoon snack has been an apple, and a little package of mozzarella cheese. These are the cutest little things, just three in each package and I buy them in bulk at my local consumer’s shopping club.

Mondays when I’m packing for work, I add my lunch and my apple, as well as all of my hard-boiled eggs, and my cheese snacks. Apples and lunch are taken daily, but it’s just easier for me to pack my breakfast eggs and cheeses in the beginning of the week.

Last Monday, I set my back down in front of the refrigerator and started ‘loading’ it up. Delilah was standing right there watching me. I added my apple, my lunch, my bag of eggs and then I started on the cheese.

One, two, three….

I happened to catch her in the act.

Luckily for me, she was happy to exchange her prize, for one of her beloved banana chips.

But boy, did I get a laugh out of that. As did Hubby when I showed him the photo.

You make me laugh (or smile,) the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do, that bring a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.

What did your pet do that made you laugh or smile this week?

Sweet Grass, Sweet Tea for Dogs

May 20, 2018 By Jodi

When my kids lived in Florida for a couple of years, they developed a taste for something known as sweet tea. If you are not familiar with this drink, it’s basically iced tea with sugar in it. It’s way to sweet for me, but hey, to each his own.

This time of year, you’ll find a lot of dogs eating grass. My vet says this is because the grass is sweet time of year, which is why I’m calling this, the sweet tea for dogs.

FTR I do have a dog, that loves the sweet grass. This time of year, Delilah becomes an eater of grass. She’s particular about WHICH grass she eats, carefully checking out the taller grass, which is typically found around the mailboxes.

The funny thing is, despite the fact that she WANTS to eat the grass, she makes the funniest faces while she’s doing it.

It’s tasty, but it tickles my tongue.

Unfortunately, it’s difficult to catch on camera, but if I had to describe it, the best I can do is she wrinkles her nose.

I can’t help but laugh.

You make me laugh (or smile.) The sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do that make me laugh or smile.

What did your pet do that made you laugh or smile.
