Happy Easter or Chag Sameach!

April 21, 2019 By Jodi

Life has been very busy these past few weeks, so I apologize for the lack of posting and visiting, I hope to rectify that soon.

We didn’t want today to pass without wishing you all a Happy Holiday!

I didn’t get around to taking Easter photos, so I thought I’d share a favorite of mine from a six years ago.

Yeah, photo shoots don’t always turn out the way you planned.

Happy Easter or Chag Sameach, however you celebrate we hope you enjoy.

Cabin Fever

January 20, 2019 By Jodi

Can a dog have cabin fever?

I believe they can and I present my case below.

Within the last couple of weeks, a certain Labrador has been getting into some mischief.

Two weeks ago, she decided the dog couch is a giant stuffy that needs to be destroyed. More than once, I’ve come home to find bits of the couch on the floor. I’ve taken to wrapping the cushion in two towels, with hopes of stopping her destruction.

I’ve caught her checking in the sink to see if there were any goodies in there for her.

Hmmm….

Last week she casually pulled my empty paper plate off the table next to me. She’s ripped up an empty oyster cracker baggie (don’t look at me, Hubby left it on the floor). And one day, I found a little wooden apple on the floor. I’m not actually sure where she got that.

My final piece of evidence….Last night I’m pretty sure she ate some butter (including the wrapper) that Hubby left on the counter, while he popped out of the kitchen for a minute.

It’s not like she’s not getting walks, because she is. It’s not like her walks are shorter, because they aren’t.

I can only come to the conclusion that it’s cabin fever. Or maybe it’s the shorter days, and the fact that most of our walks take place in the dark.

What do you think? Have you been experiencing any unusual behavior in your house of late?

Happy Thanksgiving 2018

November 22, 2018 By Jodi

I was looking through posts for past Thanksgiving photos and came across this oldie but goodie, which first aired three years ago.

I think the captions perfectly fit the personalities of my dogs, don’t you?

From all of us, to all of you, Happy Thanksgiving!
