Hey! Happy Saturday! How’s things in your neck of the woods? Winter is back with a vengeance in the northeast, dropping a foot and a half of snow last Thursday. My poor dogs, they are struggling to find places to potty on their walks! There’s just SO MUCH snow. But I’m loving winter. The air is crisp and cold and it’s getting lighter in the mornings!  Perfect for a nice walk and then cozying in before the fire and reading some awesome blogs posts.

Northeast Ohio Rocks by Beth at Travels With Barley. I don’t know about you, but the political climate is really beginning to wear on me, I’m needing something positive and uplifting and this rock project really fits the bill. I love this idea SO much, I’m considering starting it around my area!

Puppy Bowl Party by Beth Patterson at The Daily Dog Tag. Another great idea! Turning your Super Bowl party into a fundraiser for your local shelter! And look at that table! I think I need a lesson from Beth on food presentation. I love it!

Easy Like Sunday Selfie by Animal Shelter Volunteer Life. Look at this guy! Don’t you just love that look in Garfield’s eyes? That come on, you know you want to adopt me look. Garfield is about ten years old, and a super friendly, playful guy. If you’re in the CT area and looking for catpanion, check Garfield out!

Snuffle Mat: Time to Hunt by Christy Caplan at My Life with Dogs. Snow and winter weather can make it challenging to exercise your pet. I’m sure you all know, that mental stimulation can tire your pet out, almost as much as physical exercise. I’m always looking for a fun game to play when weather prevents us walking.

Hey guys. Thanks for joining me today for another Pet Blogger Showcase. There’s a lot going on in my little corner of the globe, and I’m working on getting back to a blogging schedule, (really, I am!) It’s just taken me a little longer to recover from some personal stuff,  and I recently signed up for an online course on Constitutional Law, SO blogging time is limited. I’m hoping to come up with a weekly or bi-weekly post, and I hope to do that soon!

Help Make 2017 The Year These Dogs Go Home by Beth at the Daily Dog Tag – Anyone who knows me, knows I have a soft spot for a rescue dog. There are so many good dogs, sitting in shelters through no fault of their own. I love that Beth is helping to find them homes.

Playful Sister Gracie on Sister Saturday by Brian at Brian’s Home – It seems Gracie has to share the blog with some other felines in her house. Not to mention the new occupants that are hiding behind the bedroom door. Plus she’s got that cute little Nip Nanner toy that she’s showing off in the photo.

Hey guys. Thanks for joining me today for another Pet Blogger Showcase. How’s the NEW year been treating you?

For those that follow me on Facebook, you might know I started the year off with an amazing bruise on my face, not to mention struggling with a broken dryer. But thankfully, that’s behind me now, the bruise has faded, and Sears finally fixed the dryer. (They could have replaced it for all the time and parts spent trying to fix it!)

Meanwhile, I spent my Martin Luther King holiday blissfully doing laundry. But, you didn’t come here to listen to me drivel about laundry, did you? No, I’m pretty sure you came to check out the featured blogs in this week’s showcase, so let’s get to it, shall we? Reggie and Bedtime by Clare at Sugar and Spike’s Blog – Anyone who has ever had a cat that sat on top of your head while you were sleeping, or chewed your hair…well you get the idea. This post cracked me up. Ancient Egyptians worshipped cats. This must be something that cats instinctively know, because cats are definitely…their own feline.

The Egyptian Mau : Pharaoh of the Living Room by Roby at The Cubblywumps Cat Chronicles (GAH, I love this name!)  – Remember that paragraph above, the one where I said cats were worshipped by Ancient Egyptians? Well check out the Egyptian Mau. Their history is so interesting and what a beautiful cat!

Goodbye 2016-New Rules for 2017 by Monika from Tails Around the Ranch. – I laughed and laughed at this post. Quite frankly it reminded me SO much of my walks with Thing 1 and Thing 2. And it reminded me, that even though walking them separately takes a lot more of my time, most of my walks with Sampson and Delilah, are much more enjoyable now.
