I Smiled Because…

August 26, 2018 By Jodi

I was looking through some photos the other day. I was looking for a picture to share today, a photo to spark a story, or bring a smile with a memory.

I came across this one.

I smiled because they were together for a walk.

I smiled because we were in the woods.

I smiled because Sampson was looking at me, and Delilah was looking at Dog knows what.

I smiled because they were both young and healthy.

I smiled because they bring joy and laughter into my life every day.

I smiled because I love them with all my heart.

What did you smile at your pet for this week?

I smiled at the way your pups posed for the camera and mine would be all over the place.

What a cute photo. Looking back at old photos is always so much fun, and brings back so many memories! Delilah does look really young, there.

Oh, Jodi, I so love this post! You put into words, with such eloquence, the love all of us in this community feel for our animal friends/companions/kids.

As for what I smiled at my pets for this week? With Shadow, it has been just the joy of seeing a dog with a renewed lease on life. I know that Callie’s spirit has been very close to her, encouraging her all along the way. With Ducky? Her silliness, her love of life, her joy in the chase – be it squirrels or anything else – and her tender moments with Shadow.

So precious to come across that kind of archived photos where the universe and the stars were aligned and all was good in the world. 😊

That’s a gorgeous picture. Wouldn’t it be silly if BOTH dogs looked at the camera at once?

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Your pups make me smile too. I smiled because i put a piece of banana on Merlin’s nose and he went right on snoring til i got impatient and touched the front of his nose with it to wake him up lol.

I smiled when Luke stopped on our walk, sat right in front of me, and looked into my eyes for a treat. All on his own, with no cues from me!
