She’s Too Damn Cute

June 24, 2018 By Jodi

Last night, I started going through my photos, looking for something to share today.

I’ve had my laptop for almost five years, and during that time, I’ve taken over 10,000 photos. Yes, you read that right, TEN THOUSAND PHOTOS.

I used up the free iCloud account a couple of years ago, and then I switched to the first level of paid iCloud. I think it’s $2 or $3 per month. Apple notified me a month or so ago, that I was getting close to my limit. The next tier is $9.99 per month, and I’ll be darned if I’m willing to pay that, so I started going through my photos and deleting the blurry ones, the duplicate ones, the ones I took just for blog posts, etc.

So far, I’ve deleted about 500 photos.

I was going to do today’s post about those blooper photos. You know, the ones I was staging for a post that just didn’t turn out the way I expected.

Until I ran across these.

In these photos, she was participating in her favorite past-time, of watching Chipmunks.

Now, I know I’ve shared at least one of them in You Make Me posts, but when I looked at all five of these together, they were just so damn cute, I needed to share them. There is something about a dog carrying a toy in their mouth, that just makes me smile.

You make me smile, (or laugh.) The sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do, that puts a smile on my face or brings a laugh to my lips.

That could be Miss Maizie – early Saturday evening she was chasing her ball around the backyard then stopped doing that and just racing around a couple of laps. Then she made an abrupt stopped and picked up an old dead branch that still had some leaves on it she had ripped off my forsythia bush a few days ago – at first she just stood there with the leafy branch just hanging from her mouth then she ran around the yard some more – still with the branch in her mouth and of course, me with no camera. MM is my soon to be 2 year old rescue – she is unlike my other Beagles or any other dog I have had so I need to learn to keep my camera close-by.
My senior Beagle, Lady Shasta uses a toy sometimes to tell me she needs to go outside.
Delilah reminds me of a young toddler walking around with a pacifier in her mouth.

Oh, I am working on deleting pics too but for a different reason; I hope to get a new computer by the end of the year and don’t want all my current pics to the new computer. I have no idea how many I have but like you, have some that are blurry and copies plus older pics I want to keep but put on a passport or something so I still have them but they are not taking up space on the computer.

She looks like such a mature, adult dog, but then with that toy, it turns things totally puppy. Kind of like an adult holding their blankie or something. Very sweet and cute photos.

Very cute ❤ Merlin mostly carries socks around. The other day it was a boxing glove.

That is cute. These guys never carry toys around, even Torrey. You should get an external hardrive to back up photos too. I back up, then will delete off my computer. That way I have the ones I might want to keep, but necessarily on my computer.

So sweet, it looks like she is bartering for something. Cann a dog be a capitalist?

There is something about a dog with a toy in her mouth, you’re right. I love how Delilah holds on to it while chipmunk watching! Luke will sometimes take one to the door because he wants to take it outside.

Aw, you can’t get rid of these photos! Miss D is too cute to delete them! What about Amazon Prime’s online photo storage cloud? I haven’t really looked into it myself, but I only have <3k photos in my iCloud storage, a lot of which are duplicates/triplicates/bloopers. I also have Google Photos and my online storage for my regular camera files.

She looks so sweet! My new rule is as soon as I upload ours I have to delete the doubles and bad ones.

Ha! For sure. Plus the bigger the dog and the smaller the toy, the bigger the laugh. ADORABLE.
