It’s Time For My Walk

March 25, 2018 By Jodi

I had a photo on our Facebook page of Delilah and how she’s got her food times down to a “T”. When she knows she’s close to a food time, she will not leave me alone. I cannot do a thing without her right in my face, she follows me everywhere.

Sampson doesn’t worry about food, he knows he will always have food. But he does care about his walks. While he doesn’t follow me about waiting for his walk, he does have an internal clock that lets him know it’s time. Then he gets up and comes to find me, give a little tail wag as if to say, “You haven’t forgotten my walk, have you Mama?”

No sweet boy, I haven’t forgotten.

It makes me happy that he loves his walks so much, and of course, it always makes me smile.

You make me smile (or laugh), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do that bring a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.

What did your pet do that made you smile or laugh this week?

That’s very cute. Merlin will get out of bed to come to tell me it’s dinner time. In the morning before i’m ready to get up he will cry or stare at me right next to my face. He’s started an hour early for his dinner time and he will not leave me alone, he gets on the couch and lies all over me.

The funny thing he did was fall off my bed while asleep last night. I woke up a few seconds before and i heard a thump.

We are more worried about our walk that our food too. Bailie loves food, but she never worries about it. It’s probably also because we never eat until after we walk.

I am more like D than S. I will wake up out of a dead sleep to stare at Mom with the laser eyes when it’s dinner time. If she is slow preparing my food, I will start shivering. She calls me the word NervousWreck.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Torrey is like Delilah, walk time, food time. Roxy is all about food time though.

My external clocks are not as accurate as my dogs’ internal clocks. I’m constantly amazed at them.

Dogs are one of the finest time pieces ever created. ⏱

Aww, that’s so sweet. Rita is the same as Sampson. She doesn’t worry too much about meal times (although sometimes she’ll stare at me like a vulture and I know that means she’s ready for a meal… but she also often won’t eat her breakfast. Crazy girl.). But she does love her walks!
