My Bistro Buddy

June 18, 2017 By Jodi

I’ve mentioned before that we have a small balcony on the front of our house. On cool days, I leave the door open a bit so the dogs can get out and get some fresh air when I’m at work. I love those days when I come home from work and Sampson is sleeping out there, waiting for me.

Oh hello Mama. Welcome home.

On the weekends, when the weather permits, I love to have my morning coffee on the little balcony.  I’ve added a little bistro table, and I bring my iPad, or computer with me.

My little Bistro table.

And just sit out, enjoying the quiet of the morning.

The dogs have already been walked, and most mornings, they just hang in the living room with Hubby, who is usually watching fishing or a movie.

The mornings that really make me smile, are the mornings when someone else joins me.

My Bistro Buddy

Do you have any weekend traditions in your house?

We get eggs with our meal on Saturday mornings, and long walks beforehand. Cute little balcony.

I love your little bistro table (and chair)!! I need one for the carport out back.

When I’m awake before the bugs – which isn’t very often any more – I like to have my first cup of coffee while I sit in the carport behind the house. The girls get up with me and enjoy the fresh air too. The girls love being outside, so if it’s not too buggy, I’ll stay out there with them while hubby watches the news.

We have hardly been sitting outside as the bugs are so bad. Love your spot.

That looks very nice. Made all the better by enjoyable company.

It is wonderful to have a place like that!

I love to sit out on my front porch, but I’m looking forward to having a screened in back porch that the dogs can come out and stay with me easily.

I love to sit out on our deck on the weekend mornings as well. Hubby will sometimes join me and Luke and Cricket will as well. Although inevitably, Cricket will go find a ball and try to talk us into playing!

I really want a balcony to have traditions like those.

No, no traditions. I’d love to have a little balcony, but the collies could never have access, they would use it to bark at the neighbors.

Sampson is such a sweet-pea! Our Sunday is our day to just be laaaazy. We sleep in, have some eggs (Rita gets a bite or two), go for a long walk, then come home and be lazy the rest of the day. Read, lay around (she enjoys laying around!), all of us take a nap. Also Sundays are “Pizzle Sunday” and Rita gets a bully stick.

A lovely outdoor spot–I don’t know why anyone would ever come inside as long as the weather is nice.

We often work on the weekends when there is lot of recreational boating traffic. And poke around pretty anchorages on the weekdays. It’s always to find a beach all to ourselves.

I could drink coffee on a pile of rubbish and my dogs would somehow manage to be near my feet (or better, in my lap). It always makes me smile until this morning’s visitor (there’s a post about that tomorrow in fact). Your sweet guy is just adorable keeping you company and watching the world go by at the same time.

My weekend tradition is to bring the little dog out for a run, followed by a good time at the park!
