You Make Me Smile – October 30, 2016

October 30, 2016 By Jodi

You make me smile (or laugh.) The sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do that brings a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.

Delilah, the way you scootch into Daddy’s spot on the bed, after he gets up each morning, and the way you let him cover you up with a blanket…

Chocolate Labrador Snuggling

You make me smile.

She constantly amazes me. When she first came to us, she barely interacted, now it’s like she owns the place. Heck, who am I kidding? She owns my heart.

Do you have a dog that likes to be covered up? Sampson isn’t very fond of it, but Delilah, well you can see from the photo.

If it is chilly out, I enjoy being “tucked” in. Bailie sleeps under the covers in bed in the winter too. Delilah has learned how to get the finer things in life and is enjoying them I would say.

It’s amazing (and heartwarming) how much they change and come into their own! Bear was a tiny, scared, homeless kitten … and now he’s a {mostly} confident, {often} arrogant big boy. You’d never guess his past with the way he owns the house!

She looks so cozy! Luke also likes to take over Dad’s spot after he gets up in the morning (only after he has his breakfast first though!). None of them really seem to want to be under the covers though.

Callie and Shadow have never liked being covered up – especially Callie – I guess because their dual coats kept them at perfect comfort levels. Now Ducky? She likes the game of being covered up and shaking the covers off, but she won’t stay still with the covers over her.

BTW, I love the look on Delilah’s face. It’s like “you tucked me in. now where’s my goodnight kiss?” ๐Ÿ˜

My Chihuahua mix Tudee insists on being under the covers the whole night. We don’t know how she gets enough oxygen.

My cat, Oslo, wakes me up in the middle of the night so I can let him under the covers. For some reason he can’t figure out how to do it himself (or he’s just spoiled).

Photos like that give me hope with Ms. Elsa. Sam on the other hand will take any bare spot including the pillow. Happy Howliween. ๐ŸŽƒ

Only when the weather turns colder…Then the collies can’t get close enough. I’m usually buried under a pile of collies.

Way to go, D. #thesnuggleisreal I like to be covered 100% – head and all.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Hailey often climbs back into bed too! It makes me smile!
