You Make Me Laugh – October 23, 2016

October 23, 2016 By Jodi

You make me laugh (or smile,) the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis, that brings a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.

Delilah, the way you jump up on the couch, demanding attention from The Daddy when he gets home from work, even though you KNOW you AREN’T supposed to be ON the couch…

Chocolate Labrador

You make me laugh.

Yeah, she jumped up on the couch like she owned it. Makes me wonder what she does when I’m not home. 🙂

Do your dogs do things they know they aren’t suppose to me, and do you laugh at them like I do?

If Mom didn’t laugh when I did naughty things, I wouldn’t be here to tell the tale right now. Plus, I’m pretty sure Delilah is only saving her daddy from hurting his back to bend down and give her kisses.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

If you had our Vimtag camera, you would know what she does when you are not home. We know Bailie refuses to follow the no dogs on the furniture rule and she is also as brazen as Delilah going on it right in front of Mom.

I can’t help but laugh when Luke puts his paws up on the kitchen island, and tries to lick the edge of the butter dish! He loves butter SO much. Counter surfing is our biggest issue with him, and I know I shouldn’t laugh!

That is so cute! There are definitely times when Barley does something naughty and I pull out the camera instead of discouraging her (like when I caught her going through the cat door in the gate that was supposed to keep her from eating the cat food). Most of the time, though, I don’t laugh because there’s very little she’s not supposed to do here, so the things she isn’t supposed to do (like eating out of the trash) are for her own safety.

Excitement is a powerful motivator. I’d be more worried if she didn’t do that!

My son says, “If we can make mom laugh we can get away with anything.” My dogs know this too.

Sometimes I think we don’t want to know what they do when we aren’t home.

I’m not always sure Gracie even notices if I’m in the room or not; when she wants to try something out, she tends to just go for it 🙂

No my dog only knows a few tricks like dancing in circles.

My dog tries to get on the furniture, but I think only when we are there because he wants to be close to us. He knows he’s not supposed to, and a simple “off” works well. And a treat, of course.

I can’t think of a single naughty thing that Laika does that doesn’t make me laugh. And for some twisted reason I find that mischief endearing 🙂

cute! We have very few rules around here (I know – we’re terrible), so there’s not a lot that Rita can break… BUT one hard and fast rule is NO STICKS IN THE HOUSE. But, yeah, I do laugh when she tries to sneak a stick into the house.)

Delilah knows she is too cute to scold.
