You Make Me Smile – September 25, 2016

September 25, 2016 By Jodi

Before we get to this week’s post, Sampson and Delilah (and me of course!) want to wish my mom a Happy Birthday. Today she turns 75! Happy Birthday Grammy!

Happy Birthday Grammy!

Happy Birthday Grammy!

You make me smile (or laugh), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis, that brings a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.

This past week we’ve had a drop in the heat/humidity. Cooler weather means lots of opportunity to leave windows and doors open. One of Sampson’s favorite doors is the one that leads to the little balcony on the front of the house. Sampson just LOVES to lie out on the balcony and enjoy the day.

Sampson Loves the Balcony

Watching the world go by.

Golden Lab loves the outdoors

And waiting for his Mama to come home from work.

Golden lab is a good greeter

Seeing this little face watching for me when I pull into the yard…makes me smile.

Are your dogs like Sampson, watching for you to come home? Where’s their favorite spot to watch from?

Awww. What a pair! About half the time, Bear Cat waits in the window and then meets me at the door. The other half the time, he can’t be bothered šŸ™‚

That is the PERFECT homecoming face! I stand on the arm of the big chair and look out the front window for Mom. I use that same face, so she knows how much I’ve missed her.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Aw, looks like a pawty! Happy birthday to your mom! Sampson is so cute and that spot looks perfect to keep an eye on things… especially while waiting for you. Rudy and Rosie watch for me at the front door. It’s all glass, so they’ve got a great view of our lane. Sometimes I really get them jazzed up by taking a turn around the circle drive, beep the horn and wave. lol

Seeing that sweet face watching for me would make me smile, too! My girls can’t watch for me because the window is too high; but unless they’re fast asleep when I get home, they greet me at the door with a happy dance. šŸ’—

That is so sweet! Sheba loves to lie outside too. I’m usually home before hubby, so the dogs are inside the house. Luke will always be standing up with his front paws on one of the window sills when he hears me pull in, and he’ll bark so his sisters know I’m home too!

I hope your mom has a wonderful birthday! I can see why Sampson loves that balcony in the cooler weather. I usually see my dogs peering out the window when I come home. It makes me smile too!

That face is way too adorable! Yes, I have a similar face(s) and the nose prints to prove it. šŸ˜‰
P.S. Glad you still have garland up. I feel better about leaving mine up. Or else you’re super early. In either event, well done!

That would be so sweet to have a balcony like that – he certainly knows how to find the best spots šŸ™‚ And just so you know why I disappeared for a minute it’s because I’m an idiot & injured my hand over a month ago, but now it’s back to normal and I can type actually type like a normal human being again.

And because I’m so excited about just being able to type again I forgot to add happy birthday to your mom šŸ™‚

Here’s hoping Grammy had a wonderful Birthday! Such beautiful furbabies! Our Huskies love to sit up on the deck overlooking our yard, or inside looking out our front bay window where they watch our cat and the birds eat the berries from our Dogwood!

According to people who are here, Misty knows about 10 minutes before i am scheduled to arrive and assembles the troops near the door for welcome home happy dances.
