You Make Me Laugh – April 3, 2016

April 3, 2016 By Jodi

You make me laugh (or smile), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do that bring a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.

So here’s the picture that I have for today

What?

What?

But what you see isn’t what made me laugh.

I had changed the sheets on my bed and switched from the warm winter comforter to the lighter spring/summer quilt. I went in to go to bed and Sampson had pulled the covers back and was lying on them.

Sleeping with two dogs, I typically end up against the wall, so when I make the bed, I put extra on the wall side, so I still get some coverings.

When I walked into the room, Sampson had taken all my covers and was lying on them. Since he didn’t seem inclined to move, I began pulling the quilt out from under him, careful not to hurt his injured knee.

As soon as I had all the covers out from underneath him, he rolled over onto his other side. Which made me laugh.

In the picture his back is to the wall, but when he rolled over, his back was now on the open part of the bed, so I while I laughed, I stretched out next to him and spooned him.

While this was taking place, Delilah stuck her nose in my ass.

Which really made me laugh.

What did your pets do that made YOU laugh this week?

Lol 😊 Merlin likes to spin on the bed straight after i made it. While it frustrates me it also makes me laugh. Silly boy.

    Dogs are unashamed blanket hogs.

I am laughing because Hailey “remakes” the bed to suit her often!

Awww, that’s such a sweet pic of Sampson. I just want to give that boy a bunch of kisses! Callie and Shadow used to do the same thing – Callie moreso – to me. I miss those nights so much it hurts at times.

Three of my dogs insist on sleeping under the covers. It doesn’t make me laugh, I wonder how they don’t suffocate.

Heh, heh, in addition to smiling about Sampson, we can always count on a giggle from something D-dog does. Thanks for the smiles, Jodi! 🙂

The battle for covers is ongoing at our house! I usually lose. I usually throw an old sheet over our good quilt at bedtime to keep it clean. If Cricket beats us to bed, which she often does, she’ll have the old sheet all moved out of the way so she can lie on the quilt!

That’s hilarious – how your dogs like to get sooo close! Our Lila likes to sleep on a different floor from us – she can only take so much snuggling – which works for all involved. I don’t know how you get any sleep at night. 🙂

When my son was young (5-6), he slept in a lower bunk bed. At that time we had a huge Great Dane and he would like to sleep with my son. We would go in the room and my boy would pushed up against the wall with this huge dog taking up almost all of the bed.

We totally need a pet sized bed!! Like 4 Kings or something. We think Cocoa would probably end up in our faces any how though!!

Mom just gets Bailie’s but in her face every night, and an occasional kick in the face with a back paw too. I sleep in my own bed so I don’t have to mess with all that nonsense. I need my beauty rest.

They really have no boundaries do they…lol

My biggest laugh came the other day when I was working on a product review post and decided doing it with the three girls sounded like a good idea…well at least in my head it did. Anyway as I was holding the treats with one hand and trying to manipulate the camera with the other I have Riva and Cheyenne yelling at me “give me the treats” I did mange to get photos of this and noticed that the one of Riva she has her mouth open so wide I can almost see her tonsils hahaha

Oh I miss doggy cuddles so much… but I am lucky. Poppy will come up next to me and cuddle and on odd occasions when I pick her up she will cuddle into my chest. But when she does that I have to freeze and stay completely still because even the smallest movement seems to jolt her awake and she will be all what am I doing, I do not consent to being held and she will wriggle her little fluffy butt off trying to get out of my arms
