You Make Me Smile – February 28, 2016

February 28, 2016 By Jodi

You make me smile (or laugh), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis, that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.

Delilah, when you go downstairs and make yourself comfortable on Grandma’s bed….

Chocolate Labrador

you make me smile.

Backstory…typically when I’m downstairs visiting with mom, Delilah is sitting on the floor in front of me, it’s a rare day when she lies down in the room, so the day she went into the bedroom and made herself comfy on the bed, it really made me smile.

Do your dogs adapt easily when they are out of their home, or are they like Delilah, and take some time?

I’m never too far from Mom no matter where we are. If I wander off to explore, something will usually scare me back to her side – a grill, a doll, a model airplane, a broom….. Just about anything.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

We make ourselves right at home no matter where we are. She sure does look comfy on that bed. Hope you didn’t disturb her!

Love that Delilah made herself at home (eventually). Phod adjusts to a new environment right away. It is like he is saying “Ok, I guess this is where we live now.” It is harder for Hailey to settle in.

Yay for Delilah! Since we don’t often all go to other people’s houses, these guys take some time to settle in somewhere different. They stick pretty closely to us when we do!

Sweet! Callie and Shadow – and Kissy before them – always seemed to adapt well. Ducky seems to think daycare is her second home, so I guess you could say she adapts well. 😃🐶

My dogs make themselves at home wherever they are. Delilah looks like Goldilocks.

She looks like she is pretty comfy. Cocoa goes to daycare and opens the doors!! Let’s herself right in and sticks her nose in everything!!

Sam is always looking for any opportunity to score a nice comfy warm bed, be it on an actual bed or on the sofa (the proof is always in the messed up pillows). That dog is shameless. Clearly, the D-dog is no ordinary fool. 😉

It depends but if I am right there with them they really don’t care where we are! I am their world and they are mine!!!

Mine are pretty cautious in new places.
