You make me smile (or laugh), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.
Sampson, the way you pull the stuffing out of your bed, and then sleep around the HUGE lump….
You make me laugh.
We got this bed for him when he was a puppy, which means he’s had it for about 11 years. Both dogs scratch at the center, trying to make it comfortable. In the process, they eventually wear a hole in the fabric. Once the hole is made, somehow the stuffing finds its way out.
The other morning when I got up, there he was lying on the bed, with a GIANT hunk of stuffing sticking up.
I just looked at him and laughed. He was sort of curled around it.
Do your pups dig at their beds? Have they ever had a lump like that?
Katie and I don’t do anything but sleep on our beds, but my little monster sister Bailie rips my beds to shreds. She ruined my very favorite bed the other morning, and Mom was even home at the time! She was in the kitchen working while Bailie shredded my bed. Our office was covered in stuffing. Not good. I guess if you pups do it to their own beds it isn’t so bad. Maybe make a new cover for it?
Humans have body pillows to cuddle. Sampson has his stuffing lump. Wait what? Did somebody say stuffing…? Yum!

LOL Sampson needs to ask Santa for a new bed.
Cricket scratches at the beds all the time, but luckily no holes yet. I’m sure Sheba and Luke would have a field day if there were. Cricket is often seen lying around different toys in the beds though!

Oh my goodness, what’s up with that, Sampson? Haha! Haley’s not a digger but she’s nearly ready for a new bed too.
Oh Sampson, you are so funny. Cocoa has a bed that is used as a door stop because she did not want to sleep in it. She wanted to sleep in the bed!! Hope you all are having a nice Sunday!!

My girl tries to dig at the couch to make it more comfy. I cannot help but laugh.
We had to put Callie’s favorite bed – the one she’d had since she was a puppy – in the garbage one night after her second chemo treatment because she got sick on it and it leaked through the cover to the pillow and there was no way to clean it. Ducky had pretty much destroyed it already anyway, but it would have been nice to be able to just throw the cover in the wash and put it back on the pillow. Sigh. But Callie really loved “kneading” that pillow before laying down on it.
