You Make Me Laugh – October 25, 2015

October 25, 2015 By Jodi

You make me laugh (or smile) the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.

Sampson, the way you wait in the car for me….

Golden Labrador in Driver's Seat

You make me laugh.

Yesterday I ran out to the local bakery to pick up some breakfast treats for Hubby and me. Typically I don’t take the dogs when I run to the store, but I make an exception here because I can park at the front of the store (which is all glass). The bakery is as soon as you walk in, so I can basically stand there ordering my donuts and watching Sampson at the same time.

As soon as I leave the car, Sampson pops into the driver’s seat where he sits and waits for me, staring at the store, but also people watching. At one point he rested his head not he steering wheel and I almost wet myself laughing, it was SO cute.

The man in front of me paid and left the store. I watched as he stopped in front of the car and pulled out his cell phone. I stepped out of the store and told him I was just regretting leaving my phone in the car, because I wanted a photo myself.  We shared a chuckle together as he showed me the photo he’d taken.

After I paid for my goodies I put them in the car and attempted to take the photo. Apparently the excitement was over because Sampson kept looking away.

As I was getting ready to leave, a car pulled in a spot away from me. Sampson’s window was open and he was desperate to get the attention of the lady in the car (he didn’t). It was then that I snapped this photo.

The Labrador Stare

Excuse the dirty windows…I have labradroolers.

Your turn, what do your dogs do in the car that make you laugh or smile?

Bless him! Is he hoping you bring back some food?

Way to put on the love-face, S. Sometimes that means a piece of bun when Mom gets back. I have never tried out the driver’s seat (although I HAVE a license!). My seatbelt won’t let me out of the back seat. I love the car!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Merlin was in the drivers seat and as he turned around he beeped the horn with his butt lol.

We love seeing dogs in the driver seat as if they drove their human and are waiting for them. I’m always looking out the back window of the SUV. We have our seat belts on, so we can’t move around in the car. Mom wants a mini ring camera she can wear 24/7 that is also weather/water proof for those times she needs a photo but has no camera or phone on her. She so wants a photo of Bailie in bed with all her paws in the air, but has no camera…she could bring on up to the bedroom, but no, she always forgets!

I love it when they sit in the driver’s seat! I also love it when I see dogs and they just stare intently at the place where their human disappeared to.
Our beagle Kobi used to whine every time he saw a person, even when the car was moving. It was like he just wanted to meet every person he saw!

Both mine are stressed in the car so unless it is a long road trip that requires human breaks, they don’t stay in the car.

Oh my goodness, our windows are covered in dog nose prints 🙂 Cocoa loves to ride and we try and bring her as much as possible. She gets into everything though, even in the car, so we have to make sure we get everything out and she will turn on the windshield wipers, the lights and once she had the rearview mirror off. Luckily it popped back on easily!! Hope you are having a nice Sunday.

He’s so cute! And so sweet. The funny thing about Rita in the car is that she will never get in the front seat. I mean NEVER. I can leave an open bag of treats (and I have done) sitting in the front console and she won’t even touch it, because she’s afraid to come up front (for some bizarre reason). Man, our first dog, you could barely get her into the back! (Most of the time she stood on my hubby’s knees in the passenger seat when we went anywhere. Which is possibly why he has bad knees now….) And now we’ve got Rita who won’t get out of the back!

Cute pictures! Our windows look the same as yours! Labs like to make nose prints on windows. I guess they are trying to get a closer look. 🙂
