You Make Me Smile – October 11, 2015

October 11, 2015 By Jodi

You make me smile (or laugh), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.

Sampson and Delilah, the way you love to be toweled off after walking in the rain….

Smile.

Smile.

Dear Dog woman, get on with it.

Dear Dog woman, get on with it.

Cozy

Cozy

You make me smile.

We got caught in a little rainstorm on our afternoon walk Friday. The dogs were more than happy to have me towel them off.

Do your dogs like being toweled off after being out in the rain?

Callie used to like it but she also liked to pretend it was a bother. Silly girl. Shadow likes it but only for a minute or two. Ducky loves it, especially when I make it into a game.

What a sweet little face under that blanket!

If I don’t wear my raincoat, Mom attempts to (paper)towel me off when I come in from the rain, but I take off running and prefer to dry off by doing squiggles and somersault on the couch and then licking my legs like they’re Popsicles.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

The photos are adorable! No, my crew does not like being toweled off. They see me with the towel and go running. I always have to chase them down to do it!

Abby loves being toweled off. She will come to me & bury her head in the towel, rubbing her face in it. She absolutely loves it after baths or being in the rain or snow.

Such cute photos! My crew are very patient about being toweled off and Jeffie loves it. Used to make the Dog Daddy very mad, but Lucy did not want him drying her off – she ran to find me.

Yes, Lila likes to be toweled off too, but she can only take so much attention. It looks like your pups enjoy it so much more. 🙂 Love the photos.

I forget. We haven’t had rain for so long I have no memories of any of the details.

Those pictures are so sweet. Dog woman, lol. Cocoa does NOT like to be wiped off at all. We have to towel her off every time after the puppy park and she wiggles the whole time. It is a workout trying to get her dry 🙂

I never do it, maybe I should. Mostly they want to go roll around on my bed after it rains!

    Cute pics!

Rita hates it. I just don’t get it. Abby used to LOVE it. I try to make it like a nice little massage combined with getting dried, but Rita’s not having it! Have to hang on to her tight or she squirms away!

With corgis, even walking in the morning dew ends with a toweling. That low under carriage gets wet too easily and then grit and leaves, etc. cling. So my guys are very patient as most walks end with a toweling, rain or shine! Their only beef is that it delays their “return from a walk” cookie.

Bailie and I have no interest in being dried off, but Katie loves it as she does not like being wet at all! She especially likes getting her head dried off.

I like being rubbed down with the towel, but I do like to shake first!

sweet photos, my gang loves to be toweled off too

Brown dawgs are not fans of being towel dried. They like the shake-it-off method. 🙂
