You Make Me Laugh – September 27, 2015

September 27, 2015 By Jodi

You make me laugh (or smile), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face, or a laugh to my lips.

Sampson, the way you hang back at the end of the driveway after our walk, waiting for me to call you so you can score a treat…

You make me smile.

He does it most mornings. He waits until I say, “Sampson come” and then he comes tail a wagging.

I know he’s playing me, but damn, I love this guy so much, I can’t help but treat him.

Do you have ‘players’? Have your pets figured out a way to score treats?

Haha, yes Cody has figured out the ways to score extra treats! As a puppy, in our puppy pre school classes, everyone would laugh because he would start doing every trick he know because he thought he could get more treats! When I said ‘drop’ he would drop, then roll over, sit and then try to give me his paw for ‘shake’! He was a funny puppy πŸ™‚

Sampson definitely figured out how to score extra treats from you! He’s very clever!

All our girls have ever had to do was follow their Daddy into the kitchen to get a special treat, like chicken or cheese or hamburger. The three of them – and Kissy before them – could con him into slipping them a treat just by sitting there and looking cute. And they know it, too. With me, they had to work for it. Now I wish I could go back in time and just spoil Callie a lot more!

Mine won’t come inside without a foodie from the garden! Well, they will, but not without dragging their hairy little heels!

Such a good guy! Sometimes, “Come” sounds like “Run” to me. I just can’t get that one straight…..

Love and licks and that’s why I’m always on my leash,

Oh yes, we know the situations that get us a treat and we use them as needed too!

Very cute. You comment plugin keeps telling me that my comment is too short so I am adding meaningless words.

Sampson has that all figured out!
Our crew knows every occasion that calls for a treat, and they don’t let me forget it!

When I play fetch with Tudee, she waits until i say, Bring it to me. I’m not sure when that happened, but I think she thinks there is a better chance for a treat if she waits for an order. The wheels are always going around in that part Chihuahua brain.

Aw such a sweetie, that Sampson. Sam’s a major player on the ‘look sweet for treats’ look. Shameless poser that hound. πŸ˜‰

Sampson is smart :). They know we can’t resist them!! Cocoa is t the greatest with coming when called. It’s a work in progress.

Sampson is so cute! I love how happy he looks!

Merlin will deliberately “steal” something right in front of us so we would either chase him or bribe him with food.

Lila has her daily routine and knows exactly when she should receive a treat whether she deserves one! It’s like she knows what time it is. πŸ™‚

He’s so cute! Rita can get treats out of the hubs just by sitting next to the pantry where we keep all her treats. She totally has him wrapped around her paw! And he always “voices” her as she leads him to the pantry: “Daddy, come here. I want to show you something!”
