You Make Me Smile – March 22, 2015

March 22, 2015 By Jodi

You make me smile (or laugh), the sweet, funny, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis, that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.

Sampson, the way you sit at the door anytime one of us goes outside without you…

Golden Lab

You make me smile.

Sampson is a dog that loves to be outside watching the world go by, but only when his peeps are out there.

He goes out with Hubby when Hubby is working on the car or taking out the trash.  Sometimes though, I’m just running out to start the car and I don’t bring him with me.

That’s when he sits at the door, watching. Puppy pout at its finest.

Do you have pups content to sit and watch the world go by?  What do your pups do that make YOU smile?

Today I’d like to wish a Happy Birthday to my daughters, Lynn and Lisa.  I love you!

Watching out the window is my favorite activity. The sad face is at its peak through the glass.

    Love and licks,

Happy birthday to your human girls! I always sit in my front window watching and waiting for Mom to come back.

Luke sits at the door as well if we go outside without him. Cricket will usually get on the back of the couch in the office to watch. They are usually in those same positions when I get home from work too. I wonder….do they stay there all day, or do their inner clocks tell them when it’s close to time for me to be coming home?

Zaphod does the same thing. When I pull up into the driveway he is always sitting waiting. It is sweet.

    Happy Birthday to your daughters.

Poor Sampson. Not being allowed to start the car! You know, things always get done faster when you have a dog “helping” you.

    Happy Birthday to your daughters!!

  8. Callie, Shadow, and Ducky's Mom says

    March 22, 2015 at 10:07 am

Callie and Shadow are both content to either sit or lay down by the door or fence gate, watching the world go by. Every now and then something will catch their attention and they’ll give it a few warning woofs. Even Ducky is starting to enjoy “chilling out” a bit.

    Happy Birthday to your daughters!!

Nellie lays by the door too when someone leaves. Have a great Sunday.

As a ‘budding artist” (just check the nose art on the glass doors) Sam patiently waits till I return. I can never sneak up on him (or catch him in any nefarious act either) because I don’t think he ever leaves the door – silly knuckleheaded dog. ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ ░H░A░P░P░Y░ (¯”•.¸*♥♥♥* ¸.•”¯) ░B░I░R░T░H░D░A░Y░ ♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸♫♪ to your girls. Hope it’s a great day. 🙂

It’s taken a long time to convince my dogs that there is no back door in the bathroom. I would prefer not having eight eyes watching me do my “business.”
