You Make Laugh – July 27, 2014

July 27, 2014 By Jodi

You make me laugh (or smile,) the funny, sweet, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that bring a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.

This dog, this dog makes me laugh.

Me? Oh Mama, you are such a flatterer.

Me? Oh Mama, you are such a flatterer.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  I need a Delilah cam, because a lot of the stuff this dog does I can’t get on camera.

One of the things I love best about Delilah is her zest for life.  Everything she does, she does with enthusiasm, she throws her whole being into what she’s doing.  And one of those things, is greeting either the Hubby or I, when we get up in the morning or come home from somewhere.

Take the other morning for instance.  Sampson and I got up while Delilah was outside.  I went into the bathroom and I left the door open, as I was sitting there Hubby let Delilah in.  When she saw that Sampson was up, she knew I was as well.  So she went flying into the bedroom to greet me, but I wasn’t there.  So she came flying back out to search the house and she had just gotten past the open bathroom door when she realized where I was and turned around.  It gave me the biggest belly laugh and it was an awesome way to start my day.

Your turn, what do your babies do that make you laugh?

Book update:  My current word count is 45,910.

It IS an exciting time of the day when Mom wakes up! Even before she’s out of bed, I give her a hundred kisses because I’m so happy it’s morning and another day of fun is starting. Mom tries to laugh with her mouth closed, but I usually get to lick her tongue a time or two.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Just seeing our happy furry faces in the morning and hearing the thumping of our tails when we know Mom is awake makes her happy. Lots of mornings she would just like to stay in bed, but seeing us and how happy we are and ready to start the day gets her up and going. We dogs are wonderful to improve moods in humans.

I love the look on her face!! There is nothing better than being greeted by happy dogs when you get up or come home. When I went to Maine recently, the dogs were so excited to see me when I got home! The next morning after they had their breakfast they all came back to bed with me (normally one or two of them will stay downstairs with Dad). It made me feel so loved!

I love to hide from my dogs, with their sense of smell it is a short lived game, but with such a happy ending.

What a cutie! It must be part of the breed thing. I love Maya’s zest for life too. Maya loves everything and Pierson wants to bark at it.

Such a brilliant way to start the day. When BD was stopping over and my friend was staying my guest got up before me, and so Bd woofed (just the once) to try and get me out of bed. Apparently he was half way up the stairs when my friend called him back. Which is a total shame as I have realised not for a long time, will I have the joy of BD coming into the bedroom and waking me up.

(he gets locked into the bathroom downstairs, so I have to come and let him out in a morning)
