You Make Me Smile – June 15, 2014

June 15, 2014 By Jodi

You make me smile, the funny, sweet, loving things my dogs do on a daily basis that brings a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.

Sampson, when you balance on your bad leg to pee…..you make me very happy!

Look mom, I can balance on three legs!

Look mom, I can balance on three legs!

The fact that your fur is growing back on that leg from the bottom up, makes me smile.

I have to say that I love Sampson’s balancing act for tinkling. It makes me smile for him, because I know it is some progress and he is ‘hanging in there” to get better. Gus, makes me smile when he stretches out to tinkle. Every once in awhile he will lift his leg like a”big boy’. Those times make me smile, too.
Your previous post touches my heart, because it shows just how
much you love Sampson and Delilah. You are willing to do whatever is necessary to ensure that Sampson has the best chance at healing. And, bless his little heart, he dutifully follows your lead because he trusts you and knows he is loved.
    Good job, Mama.

Yay, Sampson! That leg is stronger every day. Mom loves it that I have no urgency to get outside, even first thing in the morning. I wake up, laze around, eat my morning dinner, check out the window to see if I need to be afraid of anything, and when we go out, I walk a block and a half before I finally decide to pee.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Mom says balancing dogs are so funny to watch, I personally don’t see the humor. Glad the fur is coming back. It is amazing how long it can take!

Being able to balance on it is a super good sign.

The hair is growing back from the Bottom to the Top???? Strange.

We’re all very happy to see that Sampson’s leg is getting stronger! You’re a good Mama, Jodi! Sometimes it’s far from easy, but it’s always well worth the effort – especially when we see the love in our dogs’ eyes!

It sounds like Sampson is doing well!
You should see how our girl Cricket pees….she actually lifts her leg kind of like a boy, yet she lifts it forward instead of back. Too funny.

That makes me smile too! I love that he’s also peeing in the vicinity of the fire hydrant. Rita is not interested in the fire hydrant on our street! (She’s not a normal dog!)
