Let Sleeping Dogs….

November 17, 2013 By Jodi

One of the big reasons I started this blog was for all the crazy, funny things my dogs do that bring a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.

Sometimes it’s not easy to write a full blog post about it and sometimes I forget to share.

Some posts will be You Make Me Laugh and others will be You Make Me Smile, but they will all be the silly, sweet, funny things Sampson and Delilah do that help make crazy days just a little bit easier.

Sampson, when you stay all snugged up in a blanket…

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA You make me smile.

Does your dog like sleeping in blankets?  Will they stay in the blankets after you leave the bed?  Feel free to share in the comments.

My furdoggy does not like to be covered up, even when the thunder monster roars. She will go under my desk, but if I try to cover her with a blanket, she shrugs it off.

They do now that it’s cold. Even Torrey did last night I think. I covered her up and she didn’t move.

All of the Chihuahuas and Chi mixes I’ve ever had slept completely under covers. i always wonder how they can breathe, but they always burrow like groundhogs even in the summer.

Sampson, I want to snuggle under there with you!! Mom has to chase me (or sometimes carry me) off the bed so she can make it every morning. I love cuddling.

    Love and licks,

Katie and I don’t sleep in bed, we weren’t allowed to as puppies and now we prefer our own beds but Bailie is a lazy morning dog. She hates getting out from under the covers and rolls around stretching forever, hoping also for a belly rub.

Cute! Does Sampson really get under the covers like that? Maya and Pierson have a blanket, but Maya will move the blanket out of the way before she lays down and Pierson would rather play with the blanket than sleep on it. I found him rolled up in his blanket once, but that was because he was playing with it and accidentally rolled it around himself.

No, none of ours sleep in the blankets. Cricket has to be on top of a blanket when on the couch or chair, but never underneath one. My sister’s beagles sleep completely under the covers, head and all!

With all that golden fur, neither Callie nor Shadow like being under blankets, even on a cold winter night…they will sleep on the bed next to me, but not under the covers. I don’t know what Ducky does — she always wakes up before I can catch a glimpse of where her blanket is. I do put it in the crate at night, but who knows what the little stinker does with it?! 🙂

I can join in with this this week….I had BD at the weekend and when we first arrived at my folks he decided he was going to climb onto my knee for a cuddle (this is not something he does a lot, he is a very large collie and usually will put a head on you while you share a settee) anyway… so he climbed onto me knee…and burped in my face!

LOL adorable. Freighter used to like to snuggle in a blanket when he was a puppy, but now all of then would be too warm in a blanket. They do like to snuggle up in the straw in their dog houses. 🙂

Too cute! I don’t like sleeping in or under the blankets…it’s never cold enough here anyways.
