Where Did He Go?

October 24, 2013 By Jodi

Today is This ‘N That Thursday, a blog hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Ruckus the Eskie.  It’s an anything goes kind of day, which I totally love.

Feel free to grab the badge and link up your post.

Dogs and Chipmunks

Every morning I go outside to empty our dehumidifier.  And every morning Sampson goes outside with me.  He’s a very good boy, usually listens well and stays in his yard.

Monday morning a spot just outside the garage caught Sampson’s attention.  It is a spot that has a sand filled free-standing basketball hoop base and for some reason a board.

Don’t ask.  I’m not in charge of the outside, I have no idea why it’s there. Or what purpose it serves, other than to hit someone in the face if they step on it wrong.

But I digress.

Anyway, Sampson was sniffing around and then he shoved his nose deep between the base and the board.

Chipmunk-P

There was a squeak, squeak and a chipmunk darted out and ran across the driveway to one of the drain pipes.  Sampson’s paws scrabbled across the pavement trying to get traction as he attempted to chase the chipmunk.

Sadly for Sampson, the chipmunk got away.  But it was a great way to start his week!

Dogs of Blogville Calendars

The calendars have been ordered and should be shipped to me tomorrow!  I’m expected to receive them either next Wednesday or Thursday.  I hope to be able to get them sorted and shipped out by November 4th.  I don’t have the exact figure of what we raised this year, (because I have to factor in the postage to mail them out to you.)

However, I think I can say with confidence that it will be over $1,000.00!!

Good job everyone!!

Follow-Up Friday Blog Hop

Tomorrow’s blog hop will be hosted by me.  I asked in last week’s post for volunteers and had none, so I’m flying solo this week.

If you’re interested in co-hosting next week, please let me know in the comments.

Darn chipmunks! I can’t wait until either one of my friends or I catches one! They are so fun to chase but they never let us win! No rush on the calendar, We still have over two months until I can use it. You are awesome for organizing the whole thing and doing the mailing, etc. That is a huge job but since you raised lots of money, it makes it worthwhile!

Chipmunks are so darn cute I’m kind of glad this one got away safe…WE don’t have them around here but in Wisconsin they provided endless hours of MunkTV fun for my dogs

According to my dogs, chipmunks are as evil as squirrels. But they are so cute. We don’t have them here so we enjoyed the picture.

I LOVE Chipmunks! They take me back to my earliest childhood memories of listening to Alvin, Simon, and Theodore singing their Christmas song, and Dave yelling at Alvin for being off key.

Great post! I don’t know much about hosting or co-hosting hops… I think I need a bit more info. But as long as there free, then it doesn’t sound so bad 😉

Glad the chipmunk lived to see another day (and to torture Sampson more in the future)!
Love the picture of him looking longingly out the window!

    Hi Y’all!

I have some of those fellows sharing my mountain yard. They love our walnuts and acorns and keep the yard cleaned up so my Human doesn’t have to do it. ‘Course the deer and turkeys help with the acorns…sort of a race to see who gets there first and gets the most before the supply runs out.

    Y’all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog
