Oh Lord, My Water Broke

October 14, 2013 By Jodi

I walked out of the bedroom door and said, “WTF is this wet spot on the floor?”

IMG_5313

My first thought was that my water had broken, but I knew that was wrong because 1) my pants weren’t wet, 2) the puddle was in front of me, not under me and last but certainly not least, I wasn’t pregnant.

My second thought was someone had an accident.

On the rug.

In front of the bedroom door, NOT in front of the ‘go outside’ door.

Then I looked up and saw the empty ice cream container.  The one I’d filled with water and left in the sink to clean out before recycling.

IMG_5315

Yup it was clean.

A couple feet away was the cover.

IMG_5314 Wow that was clean too.

I was pretty certain I’d left it in the sink.  In fact, I know I didn’t leave it on the floor.

Oh that delightful lab, Delilah with her mad lab skills carried a half-gallon ice cream container full of water, about fifteen feet BEFORE she spilled any.

Why she spilled it there is beyond me.  My guess?  She bumped into the bedroom door and dropped it.

I told you she had mad skills.

It’s amazing what skills they have when they are doing something wrong! BOL – although, I’m not sure my first thought would have been about being pregnant. Too funny!

Labs must be such fun dogs to have around, but I think I will just be entertained by their exploits on your blog and stick with Poodles who are not nearly as entertaining.

WAY TO GO DELILAH !! THAT is so GOOD of you to help your mom get her chores taken care of …when she was obviously TOO TIRED to complete the task.
SHE must be SO PROUD of YOU!!! We know that WE are!!! BRAVO WELL DONE Girrrl.

Oh my word! Those are some mad skillz for sure! My dogs managed to get an entire rotisseried chicken, and the ceramic plate, all the way across the kitchen from the counter, without breaking the plate. Of course the chicken was gone. But a tub of water? Very impressive. She’s brilliant.

Good grief – how did she get it out of the sink?? It’s a good thing Rita doesn’t use her jumping skills for that sorta mischief! At least it was in fact just water!

Jackpot, D.! A bucket of ice cream flavored water. Yum. What’s better than having a big strong body and nice long legs to reach into the sink. Lucky dog!
