You Make Me Laugh

September 29, 2013 By Jodi

One of the big reasons I started this blog was for all the crazy, funny things my dogs do that bring a smile to my face or a laugh to my lips.

Sometimes it’s not easy to write a full blog post about it and sometimes I forget to share.

Some posts will be You Make Me Laugh and others will be You Make Me Smile, but they will all be the silly, sweet, funny things Sampson and Delilah do that help make crazy days just a little bit easier.

Feel free to share what your pet does to make you laugh/smile in the comments.

photo-10-PIC Delilah, when you come into the bathroom and shove your head between my legs because you’re impatiently waiting for your breakfast;

photo-11-PIC you make me laugh.

She does it every morning, while I’m getting ready for work.  And let me tell you, she is persistent!  She will keep pushing until she accomplishes what she wants to.

What kind of quirky things does your dog do?  Anything as strange as this?

    My Kuvasz sister Katie will sit her 80 lb self on Mom’s lap if she is being ignored, I am just a hugger, love to jump up and hug. It must be a breed thing as Bailie loves to hug too.

    My dogs rely on the Stare of Guilt to get the breakfast machine started. It’s most effective

    That’s so funny. Don’t try to get between a Lab and her breaky! Rita is the opposite. She almost never reminds me to feed her. If I’m busy writing/working on my computer in the afternoons, I often lose track of time – and she never says a peep. Poor kid eats late a LOT of nights! (Bad, Momma! Bad.)

    So cute! I feed Maya & Pierson right after I let them out in the morning. Otherwise, I’m sure they’d do something similar to Delilah. When I finally get up in the morning, Pierson is almost literally bouncing off the walls. Actually, he’s bouncing up and down on the floor. Both he and Maya will do a few spin tricks too. They are so silly and I love starting my day with a smile.

    Mom Kim here – mainly it is Diva Shasta that has the really funny little quirks that make me laugh altho when Shiloh’n Diva Shasta start using my living room for a figure 8 race track I can’t help but let the laughter come forth. With Diva Shasta – she will let me know she needs out by trotting around the house with usually her pink reindeer bo-bo in her mouth altho sometimes, any toy will do – the longer it takes for me to let her out, thequicker her trotting becomes. She tries to take it outside and on the rare occasion she does make it out with one – she usually drops it as soon as she gets down off the deck then goes off on her usual backyard hunting expedition. Today was a little diferent however – both dogs were outside and I was outside calling them in; If the door is not latched then Diva Shasta can push it open just enough to get in which she had done without me seeing her. When I pushed the door open then she came out with her pink bo-bo – however this time when she got down the steps, she ran around the deck with the toy still in her mouth and took it to her sunspot by the house (a slight dug-out sunny spot by the house) Now this in itself was enough to make me laugh but then as I tried to take it, she wouldn’t let go and I ended up dragging her back around the deck – Diva Shasta growling all the way and never letting go until we reached the deck steps. I don’t know when the last was I laughed so hard – except the race in the living room. I wish I had gotten pictures of her sitting in her sunny spot with the toy in her mouth but alas – no camera.
    If you want more laughs than just check their blog.

    Oh yeah, the Beaglebratz also got a couple of calendars ordered – somehow they managed to sneak on the computer and used my Paypal account. I can just picture them doing that to help out their furrend, Benny – that makes me laugh too 🙂

    Donna stands right outside the child gate at the kitchen supervising me mixing up her breakfast. And when I started washing the spoon, she takes that as the cue to run helter skelter to her crate to be served. Sometimes I dally around doing other things just for the fun of seeing her poke her face at the kitchen entrance again to investigate why the food is taking so long to come out of the kitchen 😛

    Silly Delilah! I can see why that makes you laugh, (unless you’re in a rush or she knocks you over), then I bet she makes you curse. 🙂
