Today we’re joining our friends over at 2 Brown Dawgs Blog on This ‘N That Thursday.  As 2 Brown Dawgs says, This ‘N That Thursday is for times when you want to post about unrelated topics or each topic isn’t quite long enough to make up a whole post.  It can be anything you want, so feel free to grab the button and join us!

The Dogs of Blogville Calendar

OH. MY. GOD.

The calendars are at my local Fed-Ex facility!  They are expected to be at my house tomorrow and I expect to get them to the post on Saturday.

Some of you may receive them by MONDAY!!  This makes me super excited.

Once I have shipped them all out, I will do a write-up and let you know how much we actually raised for Life With Desmond and Champion of my Heart.

This calendar contest has been a wonderful learning experience for me, and I will share it all in the write-up.

Tuesday Night Tricks Class

As I mentioned yesterday, Ariane wanted to use Delilah as a demo dog to teach back-up.  I sneakily recorded a video.  Shhh….don’t tell her.

Instagram

How many of you have Instagram accounts?  Have you heard they are changing their terms of service as of the middle of January?  Their new terms state, “it may, someday, allow advertisers to repurpose user-taken images.”

Folks that means they will use your pictures for their own personal gain and it doesn’t look like they will be compensating you either.

Listen, I’m still struggling to use Twitter, so you can’t be surprised to know that I don’t upload a lot to Instagram, but what I do upload is mine.  If they decide to go forward with this new policy, I’m probably going to delete my account.

Google Reader

I’m finally caught up on my reading and hopefully I’ve commented nicely and not missed anything too important.  If I have, if you’ve had some life changing event and I’ve missed it, please let me know.

Here’s hoping you have a super duper day and you get a few moments to spoil yourself.

Oooh a little lower please, that's the spot.

Oooh a little lower please, that’s the spot.

I’ve read that Instagram is losing thousands of member over that policy change…Never have used it myself but I agree that any photo I take is mine and mine alone…As for Google Reader, I had to laugh…I love that it collects the blogs I want to read for me but sometimes when i see how many are waiting it’s a bit daunting Happy Thursday!

I don’t use it a lot simply because I don’t have time and I sometimes struggle to learn new things.

I’m with you, sometimes I just cringe signing into it! LOL

Can’t wait to check my mail now! Woot woot!

I am not a fan of Instagram and have never really understood the attraction. I think a few of the pics turn out pretty cool – but most of them, I dunno. Lame new policy they are going to implement. Maybe they’ll change their minds once they realize how many people will be deleting their accounts!

I agree!! I think you’ll be so pleased when you see it, my mom saw Blueberry’s photo and fell in love!

I use instagram, the other day people was going crazy on facebook over its new policy. I honestly would be flattered if they considered a picture of mine good enough to be used for advertisement, but then I’m not a professional photographer, they usually watermark all their pics.

But is the Pope on Instagram? :0

This makes us glad we are years behind and haven’t opened an account. Changing policies like that seems a betrayal of trust.

It does Jan, it’s like a sample, they let you taste their product then they charge you threw the nose for it. They’re like crack dealers.

Very sweet to watch how Delilah goes after those treats:)
Instagram sounds like a great way to waste more time and get in more trouble. I’ll stick to the Internet time sinks I’ve found already:)

I agree, I already spend too much time on blogging and facebook. LOL

Very exciting news about the calendars!! I love how Delilah is trying to figure out what she needs to do to get the treat in that video 🙂

I’m not too worried about the Instagram frenzy – I think they will find a happy medium, one that allows them to make some money, while keeping their users happy. It’s unfortunate that they overpaid for the company ($1 billion!) and now they’re trying to figure out how to monetize it. Dummies.

I wish Cali enjoyed bath time – she can’t wait to get out of the tub!! Have a great day!

LOL Didn’t facebook buy them? Now I hear facebook is going to start charging $1 to send messages to people. WTF? LOL

Instagram….? Ugh. No thanks. I recently deleted twitter, and Toby’s facebook page is scheduled for deletion. Just not enough hours in the day anymore. 🙂

I can’t master the twitter yet, but I’m slowly working on it. I know what you mean, I can barely keep up with facebook and this blog. 🙁

It was ALL Julie, Donna. She is amazing.

Thanks for participating in This ‘N That Thursday. 🙂

Very cool that your calendar project all worked out.

I tried Instagram after I first got my phone. I did not like it so I deleted my account after a couple of weeks.

Love the video of Delilah learning her trick. I think she was more interested in the treat though…lol.
