Follow-Up Friday

February 24, 2012 By Jodi

For those new to the blog, my follow-up Friday provides me with an opportunity to update or revise a post from the previous week.

You know sometimes you post about something and you need an update but it doesn’t warrant a whole blog.  Or sometimes someone made a comment that really resonated with you.  Yup, Follow-Up Friday baby! :-)

Let Me Rip It, Let Me Tear It – Author’s Note

I wasn’t in the least angry with Delilah for pulling out the fluff, we allow them to do that with their toys and I don’t expect her to know that she can’t unfluff the bed.

I did not give the bed a proper funeral, instead I turned it over so she couldn’t pull anymore out.  Besides the hole in the bed it is perfectly useful.  I decided I will either use the stuffing to fluff up other beds, or I will wash the shell, patch the hole and re-stuff.   No sense in wasting perfectly good bedding.

Racing The Sun – Author’s Note

Spring slapped me in the face on Wednesday and winter slapped us in the ass this morning.  We woke up to a small amount of what I like to call ‘sugaring’ snow (soft and wet.)  Just enough to make the trip to daycare and work a bit slippery, but it is expected to be back in the 50’s and 60’s this weekend.

Right now it’s pouring out. 🙁

Book update: My book has 13,123 words.

We were supposed to have a lot of snow, but it was mostly rain and now we have wind. Sounds like perfect training weather…not!

I am so thankful that Luna has never bothered to chew up a bed. Wyatt on the other hand de-threaded a couple towels in his crate before I figured out that fleece was a better option. I run a kennel here and usually it is only a matter of time until the dogs find the zipper or a good spot for a hole in their bed. I try and tell people that but they always think the best and send along a nice bed anyway. I prefer them to have something to sleep on if they can, but some just can’t handle the temptation.

We have some nasty weather today too, 50-60mph winds started yesterday evening and it appears as though they will continue today. Should make for an interesting client lesson later this morning.
