Happy Birthday Sampson….Day Two Hundred, Forty Two

July 30, 2011 By Jodi

When you fall in love with a dog, I mean really fall in love; it changes your life.

You see things in a totally different way.  Suddenly life is not about how big your house is, what kind of car you drive or whether you carry a designer handbag.

Life becomes more about the simple things.  Spending time with loved ones, a quiet walk in the woods; a soft bed to snuggle on; a ride in the car with the windows down.

You worry less about whether you have prime rib in your fridge and more about having room for the raw food.

Your vacations become less about where you can jet off to and more about finding a place that accepts pets and how far the drive is.

Your free time becomes more about spending time with loved ones and less about shopping, going to the movies or going out to dinner.

Yes, falling in love with a dog changes your life.

Seven years ago, the dog who changed my life was born.

For all the smiles, wags, licks, walks and love I thank you.

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy, you have no idea what you’ve done for me.
