Those Bones Those Bones Those Dry Bones….Day Two Hundred, Nine

June 27, 2011 By Jodi

It was a fairly uneventful hike, until Chet stopped and stood there staring.

Initially I thought he was staring off into the little thicket at the top of the path, but then he pointed out the bone.

“Damn, that’s a big wish bone,” I said.

“I’m not really sure that’s a wishbone,” said Chet.

“You see, there’s a joint.”

Ewwwwwww.

He thinks it might be a shoulder bone.

I’m not sure at all what type of bone it is, I’m kind of puzzled as to who would hang it in a tree and why.

But if I let that imagination of mine get going, I bet I could come up with something. 🙂

That’s not something we would like to find on a hike. So no clue as to what kind of animal it came from?

I have no idea, it is fairly large. I assumed it was a deer.

Are you sure those are animal bones??? I am not so sure…I probably would have called the cops so they could figure it out…. not fun…

It is a little weird, I don’t know why someone would hang it from a tree.
